Linux

There are many desktop graphical
user interfaces (GUI)
available for Linux. The two most popular are:
GNOME
KDE
Both
of these desktop GUI 's run on top of X-Windows and provide the
following:

activities in windows through the use of the mouse and keyboard.

built-in menus for users to select and run utilities and programs
without using Linux commands.

Enables
control over multiple working documents or applications on the
screen at the same time.

Provides
a GUI interface between the user and the operating system.
