Your password is a mechanism for protecting your system from unauthorized access.

In the Linux environment, a password:

  • Must differ from the Login ID
  • Should contain at least two alphabetical characters and one numeric or special character
  • Should not be easy to guess

The user who installs the Linux operating system on a machine is designated as the System Administrator.
