EIDE
Enhanced Inteligent Drive Electronics. This is a type of mass storage device (such as hard disk or CD-ROM) that is capable of storing more than a standard IDE (which is capable of 528MB) and has faster access time.

E-mail
Short for electronic mail, this is used to send text messages and attachments to other users on a network.

Emulator
A device (hardware or software) that is designed to function exactly like another device.

Exabyte
Abbreviated EB, this is one quadrillion, or 1,152,921,504,606,846,976 bytes.

Extensions
Are usually 1-3 characters appended to the end of a file name and are preceded by a period (.). Extensions are used to identify the file type . (e.g., .php indicates that zoom.php is an executable sever-side file. Although it does not go against naming conventions, directory names do not usually contain extensions.
