Terminal
A monitor and keyboard attached to a computer used to run programs. Terminals do not have their own processor and must therefore rely on the attached computer to process commands.

Title Bar
Usually located on top of the window in the center, this contains the name of the window, file, or application. Double-clicking the title bar usually maximizes the window. You can also move the window by holding the left mouse button on the title bar and dragging it.

TTY

TTY comes from the word 'TeleTYpe'. It is a low-speed protocol with limited or no error checking. Any serial port, whether or not the device connected to it is a terminal; so called because under Unix such devices have names of the form, tty*.
