ping [protocol] {host | address}

Use the
ping
privileged EXEC command to diagnose basic
network connectivity on Apollo, AppleTalk, Connectionless Network Service
(CLNS), DECnet, IP, Novell IPX, VINES, or XNS networks. The optional protocol
argument can be any of the following: apollo, appletalk, clns, decnet, ip, ipx,
vines, or xns. To perform an extended ping, enter the
ping
command with no arguments. |
